Matt Clark

Midwestern in spirit, sarcastic by nature, global in practice.

I grew up in the American Midwest (No Coast = Best Coast) and am now based in Washington, DC, where I’m slowly learning all of the best places to find cheap gin and tonics. In another life — one where I enjoyed math and could draw a straight line — I’d have been an architect. Alas, I have resigned myself to simply taking pictures of buildings rather than designing them. I don’t really know anything about photography, but I bring a nice camera with me everywhere I go, mostly to snap pictures of cityscapes.

I’ve been lucky enough to travel a fair bit, which is great because I love seeing what TV is like in other countries. I sometimes flood Instagram with pictures that make my life look more interesting than it actually is. This website started as I was on a golden birthday mission this past year. Since that little life goal is complete, I hope to use the site for other photos and quick notes about everyday experiences. I know a lot of oddballs and I always stop to pet dogs, so there is usually something to laugh about.
